A beautiful Kaiteriteri Beach on Nelson in New Zealand is attractive beach town is 13 kilometers from Motueka and handy to the Abel Tasman National Park. With its golden sands, (made of quartz and mica particles) and clear blue-green water, Kaiteriteri has a motor camp, motels, a general store and a choice of places to eat (check out the seafood).

Abel Tasman National Park is an entry point, the area is well known for its quartz-filled rocks.

Local hikes include Withells Walk and Kaka Pah Point. From Kaiteriteri you can catch a water taxi or tour into the Abel Tasman National Park and hire some kayaks. It’s often possible to rent a private beach house if you’re planning to stay for more than a few days.

Though the waters are warm at any time of year, the tail end of summer – February, and March in the Southern Hemisphere – is an ideal time to visit for fewer crowds.
